  2. Go to Domains > add/buy Domains
  3. Type in the domain name including the TLD (for example yourdomain.com) and click add/buy Domain.
  4. If the domain name is still available you mark acceptance of the domain registration terms and continue with add/buy Domain.
  5. Please complete the payment process for the domain to be registered and added to your account.

2. Adding an existing domain to your hosting account

Please go through the following steps to use a domain that is registered with another registrar with your hosting account.

  1. Log in to the control panel
  2. Go to Domains > add/buy Domain
  3. Type in the domain name including the TLD (for example yourdomain.com) and click add/buy Domain.
  4. Select third-party or transfer how you want to add the domain to your account and click add/buy Domain.
  5. The domain has now been added to your account, but you must make sure that the DNS settings are correct. To do that, you have the two following options:

Using Servage name servers

Since you have added an existing domain, we assume that it is registered with a third-party registrar and using non-Servage name servers at the moment. In order to use Servage name servers please ask your registrar to change the nameservers to ours:

  • ns1.servage.net
  • ns2.servage.net
  • ns3.servage.net
  • ns4.servage.net

Using third party name servers

More advanced users may want to continue using third-party name servers. In order to make your domain work with your hosting account using third-party name servers, you must create the appropriate DNS records in the third-party name servers yourself.

Therefore you need to put your A-Records to the default account IP.

Make sure you point your MX-Records to mx1.servage.net or mx2.servage.net, else you won't be able to send or receive e-mails!

Info:After adding an existing domain to your Servage account, you can transfer the domain to Servage. Making Servage your registrar for the domain has the advantage of having your hosting account and domain names at one place, instead of dealing with multiple companies for your hosting products.
